Kavros is a medium-size, seaside village located 45 km east of Chania, 18 km west of Rethymnon and 3 km east of Georgioupolis.

In the waterfront of the village there is a wonderful, long sandy beach that stretches until Rethymnon city. The sandy beach is very well organised with umbrellas, sun loungers, showers, and beach bars. The visitors can enjoy the clean sea, the hot sun, the blue sky, as well as try a few water sports.

Besides the most characteristic part of the district is the natural water system which is thought to be one of the most important systems in the East Mediterranean. With Lake of Kournas, Almiros River, and an amount of streams like Delfinas River that borders on the beach, you will fell astonished by this diverse and amazing scenery in the heart of Chania.

It is 20 minutes driving to the magnificent “Agias” Lake, 25 minutes from the cretan botanical park and also 10 minutes away from the “manousakis” winery, a great visit for our wine lovers.
It is also only 20 minutes away from the town of Alikianos.
Alikianos is a small village located only 12 km from Chania Town. Accessible through the lush green valley of river Keritis, on the way to Alikianos visitors will pass from the stone bridge of the river that was constructed in 1908. This spot is a lovely place to relax and feel authentic nature.
Alikianos is built at the most fertile part of Crete where rich orange trees grow and other green plants. Most of the inhabitants of Alikianos deal with agriculture and cattle-breeding. The town consists of modern and traditional stone-built houses. In the middle of the square lie several war monuments dedicated to the men who fought for the country. A famous sightseeing in Alikianos is the Tower Da Molin that belonged to a Venetian ruler of the region in the Middle Ages.
